Dog Boarding
DRK do not operate, nor condone, the “Buddy” system – this is prohibited under the UK dog boarding license criteria, & is where dogs from different households are boarded together – this practice does occur in less regulated countries.
DRK has ten units all having a climate controlled indoor sleeping area with adjoining individual covered run. Two units have double size covered runs, ideal for larger dogs, or smaller dogs.
Complimentary dry food is provided, of a type suitable for your dog’s breed, age & fitness – Clients are welcome to provide their own. Alternatively, specific diets provided by DRK can be catered for, at additional cost.
Should your dog(s) require medication, including oral, topical, or sub-cutaneous injection, this service can be provided, & would be discussed during admission.
All guests are monitored, this includes disposition, food / water intake, toiletting, & medications. Guests will be brushed daily, this, aside from benefitting from maintaining coat condition allows us to have “hands on” to check the dog’s physical condition also providing interaction.
DRK has a dedicated Examination / Grooming room with an extra low level, electrically operated table of 150kg capacity, a jacuzzi bath & “professional” dryer. Should Clients request professional grooming services, this can be arranged on their behalf.
All guests will be exercised within the grounds of DRK in a secure paddock. During this time your dog(s) will be engaged in enrichment activities & interaction with DRK staff.
DRK was established primarily as a dog boarding facility, however, we recognise that with any business its direction is influenced by its Clients.
Payment for services can be made by cash or credit / debit card (VISA, Mastercard, VPay, Maestro, AMEX, Apple Pay & G Pay).
As DRK becomes established we will look to offer relevant additional services, & if necessary, work with strategic partners.
DRK owns an ex UK Met. Police “Dog Section” Mercedes Vito, this is fully equipped to ensure the safety & comfort of your pet during transport.
